It goes without saying that genealogical research requires more than combing the internet. The library is a wonderful resource to further your research and grow your knowledge. Books, newspapers, and other resources are available and many libraries have connections to other research databases.
Texas has a system that connects libraries across the state called TexShare.
TexShare is a consortium of Texas libraries joining together to share print and electronic materials, purchase online resources, and combine staff expertise.
TexShare provides resources you can use both at home and at the library. I fully recommend you go get a library card from your local library. Check out the resources in the building and talk to the librarians. Beyond helping you locate materials, many can help you think through brick walls or other challenges you are facing.
